The current issue of Fitness Magazine features Michael in a a reader’s question about getting into the ‘zone’ when she’s working out.
Fitness Magazine’s Senior Editor Bethany called us up and we had a wonderful conversation about the Revocycle mindful indoor cycling method that is all about getting into the zone. We talked about how music can be used to create a calming atmosphere, how pedaling to the rhythm is a form of moving meditation, how approaching our classes like a yoga class or Barre class allows our students to quiet their minds and simply move to the beat.
This is a revolution in indoor cycling that is born out our own experience of 25 years of riding for peace, stress relief and sense of accomplishment. Not once in those 25 years of riding was there an instructor yelling at us and calling out dance moves….funny right? It’s the focus on form, position, the movement itself that brings the peacefulness. And of course, gives your a better workout because you are actually focusing on working hard on the pedaling, which takes all the effort you can summon.
Revocycle is a revolution in indoor cycling. With our focus on proper fit on the bike, good form and technique in class, and calming instruction, we are bringing mindfulness from yoga and barre practices into aerobic exercise.
