We don’t know if you’ve noticed, but fitness culture is fixated on bodies, celebrities, expensive outfits and #fitness hashtags of ‘beautiful’ people posing on Instagram.
In gym and Instagram culture ‘fitness’ isn’t about being strong and athletic ….it’s about being hot and obsessing about sexy bodies.
Our founder has been an athlete his entire life: football, basketball, soccer, track and field, cycling (25 years), golf, sea kayaking, rock climbing, weight lifting.
He has also been an academic, teaching some of the finest college students in the country at Davdison College.
Revocycle culture is athletic, intellectual, curious, spiritual, authentic, sophisticated.
Celebrity- and body-obsessed fitness ‘culture’ makes no sense to us here at Revocycle.
What does going on starvation diets and ‘shredding’ before ‘figure competitions’ have to do with fitness??
Is being fit ‘3 Easy Moves To Get Emma Stone’s Toned Shoulders’?
And the really big question…..what’s the purpose of working out?
At Revocycle we are much more likely to look up to Serena Williams than we are Kim Kardashian. Women ATHLETES…whose bodies are for DOING something.
We’re about exercise done well for health and happiness. We’re into the amazing flow state of working hard and becoming present. We’re into presence and focus, we seek to become healthier and happier through movement.
